It was great to see Colette today she gave a excellent lecture on the “Golden Thread” this is the thread that runs throughout your work and is the constant throughout your practice, she also said sometimes we don’t know what the thread is until later in our career. Colette made a “hash tag” goldenthreadlectures on twitter before coming into college and invited friends and colleagues to participate.

The lecture was full of good advice and reminiscence of her story so far.

I found Colette’s lecture very interesting as the golden thread running through her work is “community” which is a thread that has run through my own practice and my final project.  Colette speaks with great passion for her work and incite into the way she has managed her projects.
