Studio Test Shots

my first day in the studio I had taken a black background cloth with me and used a plinth as a table as the day went on the shots got better I was using low key lighting with barn doors on the head with flash and a continuous light on the back ground that gave a nice glow when needed, I liked the light but the photographs just didn’t look right after speaking to Sam I went home and watched the BBC documentary Apples, Pears and Paint How to Make a Still Life Painting again to see if I could spot what was wrong.
