When you had to go to corner shops for your weekly supplies it wasn’t just a shopping experience it was a kin to visiting a friend you would find out how your Neighbors were doing, if they were ill and in need of help, if anyone was expecting a new baby etc. the  corner shops were the information center of the local community.
